"To keep the body in good health is a duty... otherwise we shall not be able to keep our mind strong and clear"
--Buddha
I've recently taken on the challenge of eating, cooking, baking, and living healthy. My husband and I have turned our kitchen into a gluten free, organic, free-range environment, which has created a glorious opportunity for me to try some great new healthy recipes (and the veggies from his garden!). When I'm not writing my thesis on fairy tales, raging about some feminist issue, hopelessly trying to get a good picture of my black cat, or posting way too much on Facebook, you can find me in my little kitchen, trying out some new recipe to feed our body and soul. I'm on a quest to satisfy my hunger for fresh baked goods and mouth watering dishes while quenching my desire to control my health. Taking care of our bodies is so important and that starts with eating healthy, exercising, and thinking positive! The word "diet" derives from the Greek "way of living" and by changing our diet, my husband and I have changed our way of living, becoming conscious of our physical, mental, and spiritual health. Join me as I learn and experiment with healthy living.
